What the OC test includes
The Opportunity Class placement test is sat on a computer in Year 4 for Year 5 entry. It has three timed sections, all multiple choice, drawing on the NSW curriculum up to Year 4. Here is the structure your child should practise:

Thinking Skills — pattern: Look at the sequence 2, 5, 8, 11, __. What number comes next?

Each number goes up by 3 (2 → 5 → 8 → 11), so the next number is 11 + 3 = 14.
